Audio/Visual Ministry

The technical aspects of producing all worship services are dependent on this team of faithful and willing workers.

Anna E. Hatchett Cotillion

St. John's bi-annual event for high school juniors and seniors that celebrates their entry into Christian adulthood.

Count Team

A group of dedicated and committed members who receive and record tithes and offering.

Free-N-One Ministry

The Free-N-One Ministry is a ministry dedicated to breaking the bonds of addiction through faith in Jesus Christ. This program helps both male and female addicts to not only focus on the physically addictive behavior of drugs and substance abuse, but also on the spiritual aspects of addiction. Through the use of a biblically-based, 12-Step program, this ministry continues to help those who struggle with addiction so they may experience victory and deliverance in their lives. Free-N-One meets on Mondays from 7:30pm to 9:00pm. in the Social Room.

Friend's Place Ministry

This ministry invites those in the community to receive a warm dinner at least once a week on Wednesdays at 4:00 pm in the Fellowship Hall.

GIFT (Greeters) Ministry

Members of this ministry are the first faces you see as you enter church.  Greeters strive to welcome all who enter St. John’s with a smile and a handshake or a hug.  

Girl Scouts

St. John's sponsors three scout troops under Girl Scouts of the USA.  Girls ages 5 to 14 are welcome.

Good Samaritan Ministry

A ministry of help that provides guidance and intervention during health care emergencies that occur during church services.

GriefShare Ministry

A support ministry of members who assist each other as they explore, share and learn to understand the dynamics of losing a loved one.

Ladies of The Dust

Servants who volunteer to clean the sanctuary and altar in preparation for worship.

Media Sales Ministry

Encouragement of spiritual growth is available from this ministry in the form of CDs and DVDs of sermons, books, and other items from the St. John's worship experience.

New Members' Orientation

New members of St. John's are informed, guided and led by this ministry in understanding our Statement of Faith, as well as the history and great heritage of St. John's. Classes are held the second Monday of every month.

Philip Ministry

This is the group that meets prospective new members at the altar and discusses the basics of salvation when they respond to the Invitation to Discipleship.

Prison Ministry

This group provides support to members who are incarcerated and their families, and promotes spiritual enrichment in area correctional facilities.

St. John's Scholarship Ministry

The charge of this ministry is to complete the annual process of soliciting, reviewing, and awarding church scholarships each year.

Visitation Ministry

The group that goes to visit with and minister to hospitalized, sick and/or shut-in members.
